Cabbage Soup Recipe
5-6 large onions
3-4 carrots
2 green peppers
1 or 2 cans of tomatoes they can be diced or whole
1 Container (10 oz. or so) Mushrooms
1 bunch of celery
Half a head of cabbage
1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
Season to taste with salt, pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, etc.
Directions:
Slice onions, put into a pot and start to saute with oil, butter or cooking spray. Cut and Slice all other ingredients into bite size pieces or strips and add to the onions. Add around 12 cups of water or 8 cups with the V8 Juice. Season with salt, pepper or curry etc for added spice. You can also add chicken or beef stock, but do substitute with the required amount of water.
Cook on Low for approx 2 hours.
